Electrical Engineer IV

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA) is searching for an Electrical Engineer to work with a premier client in Oshkosh, WI. The Engineer – Electrification designs functional, reliable and cost‑effective heavy‑duty vehicle high‑voltage electrical systems, performing engineering analysis, redesign, and development of electrical systems and subsystems for existing and new vehicles.

• Perform basic engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks under close supervision according to client and industry standards.
• Support senior engineers in preparing basic plans, designs, computation methods, and reporting.
• Work on projects of limited complexity in a support role under close supervision.
• Collaborate with other engineering or business disciplines internally and with external suppliers.
• Design electrical parts and components to correct parameters and specifications while incorporating quality, cost, reliability, and ease of manufacturing.
• Provide technical assistance for prototype, pilot, or production builds, including problem resolution in manufacturing.
• Process engineering information through change notices, proposals, and create thorough print documentation.
• Other duties as assigned, including regular attendance.

• Accredited Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with internship experience or at least six months of related work experience.

• Accredited Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Familiarity with programming languages and controls software.
• Familiarity with Controller Area Network (CAN)/SAE J1939 protocol.
• Automotive High Voltage training/certification(s).
• Power electronics and machines familiarity.
• Energy storage system familiarity.
