We are partnering with a growing, mid-sized private equity-backed company in Waukesha County to identify a Corporate Staff Accountant. Key Responsibilities- Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Prepare and maintain general ledger activity ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
- Support the preparation of financial statements and internal management reports
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, operations, and leadership teams
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Support external audit requests and compliance initiatives
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within accounting functions
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to corporate policies
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1–4+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting or corporate preferred)
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Net Suite, SAP, Oracle, or similar) preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
