Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a CT Technologist in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Responsibilities
  • Comply with technologist scope of practice per organization guidelines and perform advanced imaging procedures with proper patient positioning, imaging protocol compliance, and workflow compliance.
  • Prepare and room patients for exams, including gathering, documenting, and updating pertinent health information (chief complaint, allergies, medications).
  • Organize and prepare exam rooms, clean, stock, order supplies, and maintain equipment.
  • Perform POCT procedures (e.g., serum creatinine) using aseptic technique and infection control guidelines.
  • Assist with basic clinical tasks such as IV start and EKG.
  • Assist the radiologist/advanced practice clinician (APC) with image‑guided procedures.
  • Administer routine medications under physician/APC orders, including contrast media and oxygen.
  • Provide simple patient instruction and refer questions to appropriate team members.
  • Effectively communicate with radiologists, physicians, APCs, care team members, and patients to ensure smooth patient flow and timely imaging services.
  • Complete routine quality control and monitor equipment, identify performance issues, and follow resolution processes.
  • Contribute to patient‑centered initiatives, care management, process improvement, and lean methodology.
  • Perform patient positioning and transporting duties, lifting and moving patients with proper technique.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate to patient age groups and interpret information to meet patient needs.
Minimum Education and Experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • ARRT registered (RT) and radiography (R) OR NMTCB registered (CNMT) OR unrestricted state license.
  • Successful completion of an accredited imaging technology program.
  • Typically requires one year of clinical experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Progression of skill competency evaluated by preceptor or department leader prior to independent performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to develop rapport and maintain positive professional relationships with patients, staff, and physicians.
  • Proficient computer skills, including keyboarding, navigation within an electronic medical record, and electronic mail use.
  • Customer service skills that support a positive patient experience.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Must sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, climb, and reach above shoulders throughout the workday.

  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist.
  • Lift up to 20 lbs over the head.
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance.
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force.
  • Perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs with a second person present.
  • Be exposed to radiation, mechanical, electrical, magnetic, chemical, infectious disease, blood, and body fluids hazards on a frequent basis.
  • Wear proper PPE, protective clothing, and equipment as needed.
  • Have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine‑hand manipulation skills.
