Oshkosh, WI (Hybrid – 3 days onsite preferred, up to 2 days remote). Alternate Location Considered:
Frederick, MD (Onsite only). Direct Hire.
Carex is partnering with a global manufacturing partner to hire two Digital Technology Data Scientist Leads. These roles are ideal for highly collaborative individual contributors who can work closely with business counterparts to translate complex data into actionable insights and predictive solutions. Candidates should bring technical depth alongside the ability to communicate clearly and tell a compelling story with data. The position is hybrid with a preference for Oshkosh, WI-based professionals but will also consider candidates within driving distance or those based in Frederick, MD.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Collaborate directly with cross-functional stakeholders to gather business requirements, develop data-driven solutions, and communicate findings effectively.
- Analyze and process structured and unstructured data from multiple sources to extract trends and build predictive models.
- Design and deploy machine learning algorithms and integrate them into business systems or applications.
- Lead and troubleshoot data-related projects, manage incidents, and document solutions to ensure data integrity and reliability.
- Prepare visual and written presentations of analysis results for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Coach team members in data science best practices, tools, and technologies.
- Support the development of a center of excellence in data science across business functions.
- Utilize tools and technologies such as Azure Databricks, Power BI, Spark, Python, R, and
C. - Engage in minimal travel (1–2 times per year) for on-site collaboration across locations.
- Bachelor s degree with a minimum of 5 years of related experience, or Master’s degree with at least 3 years of experience.
- Proven experience in supply chain analytics or related functional domains.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement predictive models and machine learning algorithms in business environments.
- Strong technical proficiency in data science tools (e.g., Azure Databricks, Python, Spark, Power BI).
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to convey complex findings clearly.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams with a business-oriented mindset.
- A proactive, collaborative approach—comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders and driving insights into action.
- Industry experience in manufacturing, automotive, industrial, engineering, healthcare, retail, or biotech preferred.
- Experience with Power Platforms, LLMs, front-end web app development (Flask app, Gradio), or RAG architecture is a plus.
- U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required.
