We are seeking an entry-level IT Helpdesk Technician to support end users in a Windows-based environment. This role is ideal for someone starting their IT career who is eager to build technical skills while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

+ Provide first-level (Tier
1) technical support for end users via phone, email, and ticketing system

+ Troubleshoot and resolve basic issues related to Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office, and standard desktop applications

+ Assist with password resets, account unlocks, and basic user management in Active Directory

+ Set up, configure, and deploy desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals

+ Support common IT issues such as network connectivity, VPN access, printers, and mobile devices

+ Document incidents, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps in the ticketing system

+ Escalate more complex issues to senior IT staff as needed

+ Assist with onboarding/offboarding processes, including device setup and user account creation

Qualifications

+ 0-2 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or customer service (internships or coursework acceptable)

+ Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11)

+ Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)

+ Understanding of basic hardware (PCs, laptops, printers) and troubleshooting concepts

+ Exposure to Active Directory or similar user/account management tools is a plus

+ Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset

+ Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred (Nice to Have)

+ CompTIA A+ certification or working toward certification

+ Familiarity with ticketing systems (Service Now, Jira, Zendesk, etc.)

+ Basic understanding of networking concepts (Wi-Fi, IP, VPN)

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Oshkosh, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
