Pick-Up and Delivery (P&D) Specialist
An Automotive Pick-Up and Delivery (P&D) Specialist executes the remote vehicle service experience for your clients. This role is out in the field, acting as a mobile brand ambassador. In a "red carpet" dealership, they bring the luxury, high-touch store experience directly to a customer’s driveway or workplace.
Core ResponsibilitiesRemote Customer Service: Greet clients at their homes or offices, verify their service requests, and answer basic process questions with a warm, professional attitude.
Safe Vehicle Transport: Safely drive customer vehicles and dealership loaners back and forth between the client’s location and the service department.
Digital Check-Ins: Use a company tablet or smartphone to document vehicle condition (photos/videos), capture electronic signatures, and log mileage before driving away.
Loaner Handover: Clean, inspect, and transition dealership loaner cars to customers, ensuring they understand the vehicle features and fuel policies.
Review the daily route schedule and map out efficient driving paths using GPS.
Perform pre-trip inspections on all assigned loaner vehicles to ensure they are clean, fueled, and pristine.
Place protective seat and floor covers in customer vehicles before transporting them.
- Manage and maintain loaner fleet.
Coordinate closely with Service Advisors and Service Drive Coordinator regarding vehicle completion times and delivery updates.
Immaculate Driving Record: A valid driver's license and an exceptionally clean driving history to meet strict dealership insurance standards.
Premium Hospitality: Excellent interpersonal skills to make a great impression on clients in their personal spaces.
Punctuality & Time Management: Ability to strictly adhere to scheduled pickup and delivery time windows.
Tech Comfort: Confidence using mobile service apps, digital signature tools, and navigation software.
