Position Summary:
The Electrical Assembly Team Lead position at Arrowhead Conveyor requires a wide range of skills to prepare conveyor and equipment both electrically and, at time, mechanically as required. They will act as the primary leader and trainer in the area as well as the liaison between Electrical Assembly and Electrical Design/Engineering. The Electrical Assembly Team Leader will lead work teams to accomplish the following priorities: teamwork, safety, quality, employee performance and documentation, customer service, cost and production.
This role will actively participate in the training of employees and adherence to standard operating procedures.

The Electrical Assembly Team Leader will lead work teams to accomplish the following priorities: teamwork, safety, quality, employee performance and documentation, customer service, cost and production.

Major Responsibilities:
- Studies job packet for accuracy, notifying appropriate individuals of any errors.
- Studies blueprints to establish logical assembly sequence, at times for multiple jobs.
- Responsible for directing a team of individuals working on a given assembly job.
- Responsible for providing feedback on employee’s performance to manufacturing manager and completing performance reviews as required.
- Assists in the assembly of assigned jobs.
- Performs spot inspections throughout assembly process to assure product is being assembled correctly the first time and that the job is on schedule according to established due dates.
- Prepares accurate updates for the production schedule and notifies other members of production meeting of any issues and concerns.
- Logistics for teardown and ship
- Ensure QIK forms have complete information and are filled out accurately.
- Returns all excess parts for restocking at completion and shipment of a job.
- Ensures that assemblers keep a clean and organized work area.
- Ensure proper and accurate completion of labor reports, material issues, kit lists, scrap reports and material movement.
- Be a representative at FATs for the Assembly department
- Works with Assembly Trainers to ensure that new hires and cross training is being completed on the shop floor.
- Responsible for ensuring accuracy on daily timesheets and time off requests.
- Complete 30/60/90-day reviews and perform One-on-Ones with employees.
- Assist with Safety walks as required
- Verifies proper documentation of Blue Book (Quality Document) for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with continuous improvement activities
- Work as a liaison between Electrical Assembly and Electrical Engineering.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities, as required
Skills:
- Supervise/manage/direct the selection, training, development, and appraisal of personnel.
- Direction: receive guidance with respect to general objectives. in the majority of tasks and projects assigned, determine methods, work sequence, scheduling, and how to achieve objectives of assignments. operate within specific policy guidelines. This position also requires an understanding of simple to moderately complex electrical systems and PLC knowledge
- Ability to read blueprints. Ability to understand basic fraction to decimal conversions and knowledge of numbers and dimensions.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Intermediate personal computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
- 3-5 years of experience and education, like a two-year degree in electronics with assembly, panel building RTUs, PLCs or VFDs.
