Machine Assistant – Amcor Healthcare Packaging, Oshkosh
Unpack your potential by supporting Amcor’s high‑quality packaging operations. Machine Assistants play a vital role in helping produce customer orders in a timely and cost‑efficient manner.
Schedule & Compensation12‑hour shift on a 2‑2‑3 straight night schedule (6:00pm–6:00am). Pay: $21.00/hour plus a $1.20/hour night‑shift premium. Overtime at 1.5× for Sunday hours and hours over 40 per week.

Responsibilities- Act as a safety leadership role by following all safety procedures and promoting a safety‑first culture, adhering to GMP, ISO, PPE and gowning standards.
- Perform visual inspections, material checks and required testing to ensure product quality; report any quality concerns immediately.
- Assist operators with machine set‑up, basic troubleshooting, roll changes, jam clearing, and other adjustments in a safe manner and according to procedures.
- Serve as backup operator during breaks, meetings or other coverage as needed.
- Navigate AMS to access, interpret, and print production specifications.
- Safely operate essential equipment such as the tilt lock, bander, and pallet jack.
- Maintain a clean, organized, clutter‑free work environment following 6S procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts and support additional projects or tasks as assigned.
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills and understanding of mechanical equipment.
- Knowledgeable with computers and programs; proficient in math, measurement, and reading skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Capable of performing visual inspections, using measurement devices, and distinguishing colors.
- Commitment to teamwork, safety, and quality.
Lift up to 50 lbs.; stand for long periods (steel‑toed shoes required); perform climbing, crouching and reaching.
