Technical training or post-secondary education in welding or fabrication preferred
Ability to pass required welding certifications
Essential Duties and Responsibilities What You’ll DoAs a Weekend Welder, you will help fabricate and manufacture quality metal products according to customer and company specifications.
Responsibilities include:
Performing MIG, TIG, and aluminum welding as needed
Fabricating and manufacturing metal parts
Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols
Producing strong, clean welds that meet quality standards
Inspecting welds for strength and accuracy
Grinding, finishing, and preparing metal materials
Troubleshooting welding and fabrication issues
Assisting with process improvements and production efficiency
Performing routine equipment maintenance
Following all safety procedures and PPE requirements
Physical Requirements Stand for extended periods of time Frequently lift up to 50 lbs independently
Lift up to 100 lbs with assistance
Perform bending, crouching, reaching, and repetitive motions
Work in varying manufacturing temperatures
Follow all PPE and safety requirements
Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have:
Strong mechanical aptitude
Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to work independently and on a team Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement
Previous welding or metal fabrication experience preferred
Experience with MIG welding requiredTIG or aluminum welding experience is a plus Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and product drawings
Experience using measurement tools accurately
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
