Painter - 1st Shift

1st shift – Tuesday – Friday 5 AM – 3 PM. Painter I – $22.60. Painter I (Paint Hanger) is expected to safely complete supervised powder coat paint established procedures, processes, or policies, load and unload raw parts from the paint line, and efficiently move parts so that they are ready for use.

• Loading, transferring, and unloading of parts on and/or from paint line
• Process each part by hanging/racking to paint application
• Inspect quality of parts before and after finishing process
• Perform work duties in a safe manner in accordance with policy (wear required PPE, maintain housekeeping duties)
• Constantly work in a constantly high heat environment
• Exchange and break down racks and prepare for burn-off
• Maintain proper counts
• Report all scrap
• Perform stock handling duties as required
• Maintain a clean work environment

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 0-2 years of experience
• Detail oriented and organized

• Ability to effectively communicate
• Ability to understand and execute basic standard procedures
• Basic reading and writing skills

• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Positive attitude, assertive, dependable, energetic
• Strong focus on quality of work

• Previous experience with powder paint systems

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, use hands to manipulate objects or controls, stand and walk; may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders; must occasionally lift 25‑50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus.
