OEM Fabricators, Inc. an ISO certified company and manufacturer of the year award winner, is a full service custom job shop and are looking for Certified Welders for our OEM team. We have positions on all shifts at our Woodville, Neillsville and Phillips facility.
Woodville: 1st shift, Monday – Thursday, 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. / 2nd shift, Monday – Thursday, 4:15 p.m. – 2:45 a.m. (10% shift premium!) / 3rd shift is our weekend shift Friday – Sunday, 6:00 am – 6:00 pm (20% shift premium and overtime over 36 hours!)
Neillsville: 1st shift, M-Th, 6am – 4:30pm / 2nd shift two potions, M-Th, 4:30pm – 3am or M-W, 4:30pm – 5:30am (10% shift premium!) / 3rd shift (weekend shift) Fri. – Sun. 6am – 6pm (20% shift premium and overtime over 36 hours!)
Phillips: 1st shift, M-Th, 4am – 2:30pm / 2nd shift M-W 2:30pm – 3:30am (10% shift premium!) / 3rd shift (weekend shift) Fri. – Sun. 4am – 4pm (20% shift premium and overtime over 36 hours!)
Shift premium is calculated as:
Example: 2nd shift, Starting offer $23/hour base- hourly rate including shift premium ($23.00
* 1.1) is $25.30/hour!

Set up and operate assigned welding machine to finish weld assemblies to meet or exceed customer requirements in a timely manner. To abide by Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and follow all Company and Department safety policies and/or procedures.
RequirementsThe following listed articles are required (or as deemed necessary by the hiring authority) for the initial acceptance of a welder. A High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred. Minimum of one (1) year related schooling and 2 years welding/fitting experience or any combination of schooling and/or experience that equals twelve (24) months. Pass OEM’s physical weld test, written welder exam which includes blueprint reading, tape measure reading and various welding question.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Set up weld machine with proper gas and wire.
- Organize weld components in assigned work station using forklift, hoist, or manual lifting.
- Prepare all material surfaces to be welded ensuring there are no loose or thick scale, slag, rust, moisture, grease, or other foreign matter.
- Check welding components for visible defects.
- Check joint fit-up for misalignment prior to welding.
- Read and interpret blueprints as required to complete necessary welds.
- Weld components using proper welding techniques controlling distortion, shrinkage, and weld size to finish weld assemblies to meet or exceed customer requirements.
- Remove all slag and heavy spatter from completed welds.
- Check completed welds for visible defects.
- Correct defects immediately.
- Use time and material effectively to meet or exceed Company’s objectives.
- Advise Supervisor of problem areas.
- Perform an acceptable amount of work with few or no errors.
- Work with and takes work direction from Lead Welders and Supervisor.
- Work in conjunction with Welder Trainees, Certified Welders, Fitter Welders, and Lead Welders to weld assemblies per customer print and specifications.
- Maintain all equipment in good working order during daily operations.
- Adhere to established preventive maintenance plan.
- Make recommendations for equipment maintenance to Supervisor.
- Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Area.
- Keep walkways and exit doors clear of equipment, material, tools, etc.
- Be sure all required guards and safety equipment are properly used.
- Sweep work area out to aisle at end of shift.
