The goal of the Habitat for Humanity of Wisconsin VISTA Program is to build a better Wisconsin by assisting local organizations to increase the capacity and sustainability of programs focused on alleviating poverty. With passion, commitment, and hard work, our Ameri Corps VISTA members help organizations in bring individuals & communities out of poverty. Habitat for Humanity envisions a world where everyone has a decent place to live, bringing people together through homes, community, and hope.

Chippewa Valley Habitat for Humanity started serving families through new home construction in 1990. Since then, they have expanded to include home repairs as well. Member Duties

You’ll build and improve marketing and communication systems for Habitat for Humanity in the Chippewa Valley, increasing awareness and support for Habitat’s mission to build and repair homes in local communities.

  • Develop a marketing and communications strategy, including social media, email, website, print materials, etc. Create campaigns using Habitat brand guidelines when designing materials. Create reusable templates and build a "library" of digital and print pieces.
  • Improve homeowner service communications to better support partner families through the home-buying process. Research best practices and gather feedback from homeowners, staff, etc. Plan could include emails, phone calls or texts, newsletters, etc.

BENEFITS include $175/month housing stipend, 30-hour work, hybrid schedule.
