- Utilizes advanced knowledge and skills to provide nursing and selected medical procedures for neonates and infants
- Communicates and collaborates with appropriate members of the health care team, including patient families
- Works to improve the quality of care provided to neonates
- Advances the care of neonates through participation in and application of the research process. Shares knowledge on a formal and informal basis with interdisciplinary team as relates to specialty area
- Ensures the continuous quality of professional services by maintaining updated knowledge and skills
- Maintaining current and valid licensure with the State Board of Nursing to provide continuous nursing services to prevent the spread of blood borne and/or airborne disease(s)
- Ensures age/developmentally appropriate patient care is provided in accordance with Age-Specific Care Guidelines for the specific age groups served Skills and
Qualifications:
Advanced clinical assessment skills for neonates Ability to make sound and timely decisions Ability to cooperate and work well with others
