Sentinel Veterinary Specialists and Emergency, a rapidly growing, locally-owned small animal emergency veterinary hospital located in Missoula, MT, is seeking an experienced LICENSED veterinary technician to join our rapidly growing specialty and emergency hospital.

Our hospital offers high end emergency, specialty, and critical care including in-house blood and urine analysis, digital radiology, ultrasound, CT, fluoroscopy, and endoscopy. Core Responsibilities

Clinical & Nursing Care:
Provide critical nursing care for hospitalized patients, including administering medications orally, via IV or IM, providing nursing care for out-patients such as sedation and monitoring for minor procedures, obtain vitals.

Surgical Assistance & Anesthesia:
Prepare animals for surgery, sterilize instruments, assist veterinarians during procedures, and induce, maintain, monitor anesthesia and provide post operative.

Diagnostic Imaging & Lab Work:
Perform diagnostic, conduct in-house lab tests, including but not limited to blood counts, urinalysis, chemistry, and CT.

Client Education & Communication:
Collect complete and thorough history, thorough discharges and answer questions, assist in routing client and referring DVM questions to/through the right DVM or department.

Patient Monitoring:
Observe animal behavior, check vital signs, and report changes in condition.

Inventory & Records:
Maintain accurate medical records, manage pharmacy inventory, and ensure compliance with controlled substance logs.
