Responsibilities

What does a Quality Assurance Manager do? As the new Quality Assurance Manager at EVCO Plastics, you can expect a structured yet dynamic workday from Monday to Friday. Each day will involve overseeing daily quality control processes, ensuring that manufacturing standards are met consistently. You will conduct regular quality audits, analyze product specifications, and develop improvement plans based on your findings.

Morning meetings with team members will help align goals and share any ongoing quality challenges. Throughout the day, you will collaborate with production teams to provide guidance and support on maintaining high-quality standards. You’ll also document and report on quality metrics, facilitating continuous improvement initiatives. Engaging with suppliers to assess material quality and troubleshooting any issues that arise will be part of your routine.

With a focus on fostering a culture of quality, your role will be pivotal in shaping the future of our products and processes.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For In a Quality Assurance Manager

To excel as a Quality Assurance Manager at EVCO Plastics, you will need a robust skill set tailored to the fast-paced manufacturing environment. A minimum of 5+ years of quality experience is essential, allowing you to draw from a wealth of knowledge and best practices. Your expertise in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) will be crucial for interpreting and applying complex specifications to ensure product compliance.

Proficiency in reading blueprints is also mandatory, enabling you to understand design intentions and quality requirements effectively. Strong analytical skills are necessary for assessing quality data and metrics, leading to informed decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, familiarity with quality management software and tools will enhance your ability to track performance and manage quality documentation efficiently. Strong communication and leadership skills are key, as you will guide teams and interact with various departments to achieve the highest quality standards.
