Overview

The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) program focuses on developing future store leaders through a 16‑week self‑paced, collaborative training that includes virtual and hands‑on learning experiences.
Responsibilities- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to support and lead your team.
- Perform customer care duties to provide high levels of service.
- Execute merchandising strategies to support store sales growth.
- Manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability.
- Actively engage with your leader in Key Learning Experiences to support your path to promotion.
- Support your store as a management team member and lead in a manner consistent with CVS values and policies.
- Engage colleagues to support the company’s purpose of helping people on their path to better health.
- High School diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred or relevant work experience may be considered.
- Retail management experience or experience as a CVS Supervisor preferred.
- Willingness to accept promotion roles with the market in which you work.
- Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the designated market.
- Ability to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs.
- Selection for SMIT does not guarantee promotion to Store Manager; promotion is dependent on performance and openings.
Pay range: $18.50 – $23.88 per hour (or equivalent base annual full‑time salary). The final base salary will depend on experience, education, geography and other factors.
