Position SummaryThis position formulates and implements individual and group assessments, case plans, and treatment in the areas of Evidence Based Practices (EBP) for Substance Use Disorders (SUD). The TS2 will oversee SUD groups at Oshkosh Correctional Institution (OSCI) to ensure program performance objectives are met, monitor performance measures, and audit instruments. OSCI has over 2,000 residents distributed across more than 10 housing units, each with varying levels of SUD treatment requirements.
The TS2 will work closely to monitor these program level requirements, design and develop a continuum of program delivery, coordinate with multiple disciplines in the institution to develop, implement, and monitor institution-wide after‑care interventions for program completers, consult with institution management on progress and outcomes, and provide treatment services to other social worker programs at OSCI to meet programming requirements.

This position is in pay schedule and range 12‑63 with a starting pay of $33.78/hour – $37.33/hour
. The rate within this range relates to years of state seniority. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A probationary period is required. This position may receive a $1.50 to $2.00 per hour add‑on pay based on the type of SAC credential possessed at the time of hire.

This position is not eligible for remote work and will work on site. Anticipated schedule will be Monday – Friday 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM. This position is FLSA Exempt. This position is not anticipated to travel on a regular basis, though DOC positions occasionally travel for training, meetings, conferences, or similar events. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (citizen, lawful permanent resident, or alien authorized to work without DOC sponsorship).
The Department of Corrections may conduct pre‑employment drug screens and criminal background checks, and all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting upon hire.
Applicants must possess a current AODA treatment certification from the state of Wisconsin in the form of a Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC), Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) certification, or Authorized to Treat for Substance Use Disorder specialty certification and will be required to maintain certification during employment.
