P&D Driver

As a P&D Driver, you pick up, transport, and deliver freight locally. You will be the face of South East Freight Lines, serving our customers on a regular basis. As a tractor-trailer operator, you will drive in various conditions and handle vehicle operations such as coupling and uncoupling, connecting lines, and adjusting equipment. Skilled maneuvering in challenging environments like heavy traffic and tight spaces is essential.

You will report any incidents or delays and adhere to all safety regulations and company policies. You must always focus on excellent customer service and professionalism.

• Conduct vehicle inspections
• Manage the loading and unloading of cargo
• Ensure the accuracy and compliance of transport documents, especially for hazardous materials
• Handle vehicle operations such as coupling, uncoupling, and connecting lines
• Report incidents or delays promptly
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies
• Maintain driving logs and comply with DOT rules, regulations, and guidelines

• Minimum of 6 months driving experience (1 year preferred)
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with endorsements for HAZMAT, Tanker, and Twin Trailers; no automatic restrictions
• At least 21 years old
• Ability to read, comprehend, and write in English; perform simple mathematical calculations
• Read maps and road signs; maintain driving logs
• Detailed knowledge of DOT rules, regulations, and guidelines for safe driving, hours of service, vehicle inspections, and transportation of hazardous materials
• Meet DOT physical qualifications and pass alcohol and drug tests

Pay: $91,728-$100,191 annually (average annual pay may vary based on experience, hours, and location). Job Type: Full-Time.
