Sanimax is looking for a Lead Fleet Mechanic that will play a key role in both leading and supporting a high-performing maintenance team, ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our fleet—including semi tractors, trailers, and yard equipment. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys mentoring others while staying actively involved in the work.### ##

** Responsibilities
* ** Lead, coach, and develop a team of Fleet Mechanics to ensure high performance and continuous growth
* Perform and oversee repairs on our fleet, primarily end-dump trailers, tractors, and yard equipment
* Diagnose mechanical issues using modern troubleshooting and diagnostic tools
* Accurately complete and manage work orders in a timely manner
* Perform fabrication and metal work as needed to support repairs
* Conduct pre-inspections to ensure equipment readiness and compliance
* Partner closely with the Transportation team to meet operational equipment needs
* Execute and promote preventive maintenance programs aligned with Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Contribute to a safe, organized, and efficient shop environment
* Perform other related duties as required### ##
** Requirements
* ** 1–2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred
* Strong knowledge of vehicle and heavy equipment repair and maintenance
* Comfortable using basic computer systems and software
* Valid driver’s license required;
Class A CDL (or willingness to obtain) is an asset
* Proven ability to lead by example, with strong problem-solving and communication skills
