Special Education Teacher - Setting III Center based Elementary Classroom
The ideal candidate for this role is a highly collaborative, innovative, and community-focused educator who is passionate about creating a dynamic learning environment for students in special education areas. Classrooms could include students with various learning needs such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmentally and Cognitively Delayed, and Emotional and Behavioral Disorders in a setting III environment.
Responsibilities- Provide instruction and support in curriculum areas, including writing and implementing Individual Educational Plan (IEP) goals and objectives.
- Evaluate scholar performance according to the goals and objectives on the IEP.
- Promote scholar achievement and maintain required scholar records.
- Enforce district rules governing student conduct, and implement due process guidelines following state and federal rules, regulations, and district policy.
- Make appropriate and equitable use of instructional resources and technologies.
- Implement the goals and objectives of the district and the school and/or program for which you are employed.
- Provide in-person, synchronous, and asynchronous learning when applicable.
- Analyze data with colleagues to develop targeted student interventions.
- Maintain consistent communication with students guardians and caregivers.
- Leverage local resources and invite community members into the classroom to enrich learning.
- Integrate student leadership development.

Qualifications & Requirements- A valid Minnesota teaching license in an appropriate field (EBD, ASD, DCD), or a valid MN teaching license in another field with a willingness to obtain an Out of Field Permission.
- If not currently licensed, you must be eligible and willing to apply for a Tier 1 or 2 license or an OFP.
