We are so much more than a Parts Store and we are looking for great talent to join our NAPA family. As a NAPA Counter Sales associate, you are the face of the retail store and the go-to person for customers who enter our retail stores for automotive parts. You should have a background and knowledge of automotive parts. This role offers opportunities to grow within the company as a Parts Specialist or to explore other careers at NAPA.
Responsibilities- Provide auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person at the counter or over the phone.
- Use your parts knowledge to assist other NAPA team members with customer questions.
- Provide outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who enters the store.
- Bring customer focus and high energy to a fast-paced environment.
- Welcome retail customers and engage to provide a positive consumer experience.
- Operate technology tools including computer systems, cash register, telephone, and paper catalog.
- Valid driver's license.
- Experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn all things auto parts.
- High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school courses or degree is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Strong listening skills and empathy for customers.
- Background or passion for automotive, heavy equipment, farm, diesel, marine, or dealership.
- Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, auto body/collision.
- Knowledge of cataloging or inventory management systems.
- Customer-centric mindset in all interactions.
- ASE Certifications (nice to have).

This position offers an hourly pay of $20.25. Pay progression is available for many hourly roles, with potential progression up to the top end of the range within 12 months of hire. Starting pay for other positions is based on skills and experience.
