Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform routine preventive and general maintenance across our facility. This role ensures the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of buildings, systems, and equipment, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, custodial, and grounds maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other installed systems.
  • Operate and maintain HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical systems, water systems, and building management systems.
  • Conduct facility inspections and report conditions affecting operations.
  • Monitor and supervise preventive maintenance contracts.
  • Carry out carpentry repairs, painting, and furniture assembly.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
  • Prepare and submit summary reports on building conditions and recommend corrective actions.
  • Review and understand operational procedures for equipment, emergency response systems, fire/life safety systems, and other building systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and requirements.
  • Maintain adherence to City, County, and State ordinances and codes.
  • Support after-hours building needs and activities as required.
  • Follow all procedures outlined in the company’s security policy.
  • Perform other assigned tasks as requested.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems.
  • Ability to operate tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to respond to after-hours emergencies and support facility needs.
Benefits

Health care insurance benefits available first of the month following 60 days of employment. Thirty (30) hours worked per week must be averaged in order to maintain coverage. 401k enrollment is available per the Secure Act guidelines. Earned Sick and Safe time is accrued and can be used per the State of MN guidelines.
