Registered Nurse - Emergency Department - RN

Position Overview

Osseo, WI – Remote:
No – Part‑time.

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide clinical nursing care, patient education, and care transitions. The RN will work in the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, supporting professional nursing practice throughout the continuum of care.

• Coordinate nursing care including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care.
• Support professional nursing practice across practice settings and the continuum of care.
• Function within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model by planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care.
• Follow ANA Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice.
• Provide leadership through preceptor role, informal and formal leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts.
• Delegate patient care based on skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and resource availability.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, mentoring, and teaching skills; participate in committees or projects.
• May be required to operate a personal vehicle as part of the role (subset of employees).

This role is eligible for TN sponsorship. Successful sponsorship requires state licensure and completion of Visa Screen or equivalent certification.

• Graduate of a baccalaureate nursing program.
• Preferred: one year RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year LPN experience at Mayo Clinic.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience working in a team environment.
• Computer skills required; prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends, and on‑call.
• Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting.
• Demonstrated leadership, effective communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Current RN license in applicable state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) competency as required by region.
• Additional state licensure or specialty certification/training as required by the work area.

Minimum hourly rate is £35.78. Compensation is based on experience, education, and dedication.

Part‑time. 48 hours per pay period. 12‑hour shifts with rotational day/night weekday shifts or straight night shift available.
