Responsibilities- Assess, monitor, and provide wound care treatment for residents
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and update care plans
- Monitor wound healing progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Educate nursing staff on wound care best practices and prevention measures
- Oversee the facility's infection prevention and control program
- Conduct infection surveillance and track/report infections within the facility
- Manage residents on isolation or precautions and ensure appropriate interventions are in place
- Coordinate outbreak response efforts and communicate updates to leadership and staff
- Assist with antibiotic stewardship initiatives
- Provide staff education and training related to infection prevention, wound care, and regulatory compliance
- Complete audits and monitor compliance with infection control policies and procedures
- Stay current on CDC, state, and federal infection prevention guidelines
- Current RN license in the state of Wisconsin
- Wound care experience preferred
- Infection prevention experience preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
- Long‑term care experience preferred
