Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented accountant to join our manufacturing team. The accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the company while assisting with payroll processing and inventory control activities. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, supporting payroll administration, aiding with inventory accuracy, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the finance department.
This position is on-site.
This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Key Responsibilities Accounting (Approximately 80%)- Prepare weekly payable run
- Process customer payments and assist with accounts receivable collections
- Prepare and reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation
- Maintain vendor and customer records & chart of accounts
- Assist with fixed asset tracking
- Prepare financial reports and schedules as requested
- Perform cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, cost analysis, and variance reporting
- Assist in cycle counts and physical inventories
- Maintain organized accounting records and electronic filing systems
- Support internal and external audits
- Ensure adherence to company accounting policies and internal controls
- Assist in preparing and filing external reporting requirements

Payroll (Approximately 20%)- Assist in processing weekly payroll accurately and timely
- Review employee time records for completeness and accuracy
- Process new hires, terminations, wage changes, and deductions (benefit, uniform, etc.) as they relate to payroll
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll information
- Complete hours worked and overtime reports weekly after payroll processes
- Assist with employee attendance occurrence tracking which includes calculating and entering personal time quarterly

Qualifications Education- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required
- Equivalent work experience may be considered
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Segmented Accounting experience is a plus
- Inventory experience is a plus
