CADREX - CNC Operator II - 3rd Shift

OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for a CNC Operator II to operate both manual and CNC machines according to program and product specifications to produce small to medium sized components as either a finished product or as part of another larger product to be assembled.

Full-time

• Operates CNC machines to produce production parts and assemblies
• Operates manual machines such as saws, mills, and lathes
• Positions parts in specified locations using a variety of fastening devices
• Operates hand‑held tools, electrical tools, and/or pneumatic tools
• Operates lift equipment as needed
• Uses precision measuring tools as required
• Recognizes various material types used in department and adjusts equipment if needed
• Recognizes worn tooling and changes machine as required
• Verifies accuracy of completed product or batch inspections
• Reports defective materials, discrepancies, process malfunctions or non‑compliant products to the Department Lead
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows safety regulations
• Completes necessary paperwork, including in‑process or carbon copy production sheets
• Proficiently sets up CNC machines by loading tools, fixtures, and materials, and verifies machine settings and program parameters for accuracy

• Proven experience as a CNC Operator with at least 2‑3 years in CNC machining operations
• Proficient in machine setup, tool changes, offsets, and program adjustments; knowledge of G‑code programming is a plus
• Strong understanding of machining principles, tool selection, and CNC machine operation
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high‑quality work
• Solid problem‑solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evening and weekend shifts as required
• Commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds

• 3rd Shift / Sunday - Thursday; 11:00 pm – 7:30 am

• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, vibration, and moderate noise levels; hearing protection may be required in specific locations.

• Regularly stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear; occasionally sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, color, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
