Location: Ossining, NY
Compensation: Up to $30/hour DOE
We have been hired to help a client find an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to support plant operations by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment. This role is best suited for a hands-on technician with strong mechanical experience who can quickly respond to equipment issues and help maintain efficient, uninterrupted production.
No relocation assistance provided. Must be within a commutable distance to Ossining, NY.
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience
- Experience maintaining and repairing industrial equipment, including CNC machines, pumps, compressors, and mechanical systems
- Solid understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, bearings, and gearboxes
- Ability to diagnose equipment failures and perform effective repairs with minimal supervision
- Basic electrical troubleshooting experience preferred
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals
- Strong understanding of preventative maintenance practices
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial equipment to minimize downtime and maintain production flow
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform timely corrective repairs
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on production machinery
- Maintain and repair CNC machines, pumps, compressors, and mechanical systems
- Install and align motors, bearings, shafts, and related components
- Perform basic welding, fabrication, and mechanical repairs as needed
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and repair documentation
- Follow safety procedures and support a safe working environment
