Marching Band Percussion Instructor
Qualified applicant must hold a valid/registered Illinois teaching license. This is a "Schedule A" additional duty position. Additional qualifications/skills required:
Communication skills, building relationships, energetic and enthusiastic.
Responsibilities:
- Attends all Marching Band rehearsals and performances in August, September, October, and November.
- Creates warm-ups and additional music as needed to help with student learning.
- Discusses rehearsal plans with other marching instructors.
- Repairs any percussion equipment as needed.
- Oversees percussion auditions and rehearsals that take place in April and May.
