Elementary Teacher

Duties

Community Unit School District 308 is seeking a dynamic, energetic Elementary Teacher who maintains a positive learning environment, holds high academic expectations, and creates a student-centered classroom while building rapport with students, parents and staff. We are looking for exceptional candidates who will assist our schools in creating an exemplar learning community where everyone seeks and implements strategies for improving student achievement and growth.

This person will work collaboratively in professional learning communities to achieve goals with a common purpose focused on student learning.

Qualifications

* A valid/registered Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Elementary Education (Self Contained General Education) endorsement.

* Recent teaching experience at the elementary level (with the exception of new graduates)

* Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum, instructional methods and current teaching techniques

* Excellent verbal and written communication and time management skills

* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, families, team members, and others.
