Programs Fire Protection Engineer

Constellation Energy is seeking a Programs Fire Protection Engineer to support safe, reliable operations across our energy facilities. In this role, you will develop, implement, and maintain fire protection programs for power generation and related utility assets. Responsibilities include performing fire hazard analyses, supporting code-compliant designs, reviewing plant modifications, and coordinating inspections and testing of fire detection and suppression systems. You will partner with operations, maintenance, and safety teams to resolve issues, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement in fire and life safety performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain fire protection programs for utility and power generation facilities
• Perform fire hazard analyses and risk assessments for critical assets
• Review designs and plant modifications for fire and life safety compliance
• Coordinate inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire detection and suppression systems
• Ensure compliance with NFPA codes, NRC and local fire regulations
• Support incident investigations and implement corrective actions
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and safety teams on fire protection issues
• Prepare technical reports, procedures, and regulatory documentation
• Provide fire protection engineering expertise during projects and outages
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in fire and life safety performance
