Mechanical Fitter

FJA are looking to recruit a Mechanical Fitter within an Operations team being site-based in the UU Region.

As a Mechanical Fitter you will report directly to the Mechanical Site Manager and you will be required to undertake the installation of package plants, pipe fitting and to assist with site integration. You will be joining an existing Mechanical team and will be required to travel across the Midlands region as required.

• Working to engineering drawings to a high level of accuracy to ensure components are installed and set out accurately.
• Working on screening machinery and equipment such as de‑watering units and compactors, grit rakes and machined parts, scraper bridge assemblies, penstocks, valves, pipework & pumps.
• Working with a variety of materials (ductile, plastics, carbon steel).
• Working to company SHEQ standards at all times.

• Water / Wastewater industry experience.
• Driving Licence.
• Strong problem‑solving skill.

NVQ2 / ONC or equivalent; PASMA, EUSR Water Hygiene, Confined Space, Abrasive Wheels, Manual Handling, MEWP – Training can also be provided for these.
