Non-instructional Program Secretary (Multilingual) @ Othello High School - Bilingual Spanish Required*- 6.5 hours/day

Job Description

* Make attendance and behavior intervention phone calls, including Saturday School and Monday late-start communication. Support with incentive and recognition of behavior and academic supports.

* Support family communication related to attendance, enrollment, withdrawal, student recognition, and program participation.

* Answer phone calls and assist families, students, and visitors.

* Monitor entry/security door and support front-office safety procedures.

* Support student withdrawal processes and transfer of records.

* Support WIDA/bilingual screening logistics and SIFE screener coordination.

* Help prepare data and documentation for disproportionality reporting.

* Support PAC meeting preparation, communication, materials, and family outreach.

* Assist with student recognition preparation and family engagement activities.

* Other duties as assigned by a building administrator.

Minimum Qualifications

* High School graduate, or GED.

* AA degree, or 48 semester credits or 72-quarter credits from an institution of higher education (level 100 class or higher), or having successfully passed the ETS Para Pro Assessment.

* * Must pass Spanish proficiency test administered by OSD (both oral & written)

* Successfully pass a skill review in Math, English, and computer management, of which some is written and practical (Department Secretary Test)

* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

* Ability to speak effectively with patrons or employees of organization.

* Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

* Physically able to occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty (20) pounds.

* Able to walk, stand, sit, stoop, bend, reach, kneel, crawl, and grasp as required to successfully perform all duties and requirements.

* Ability to adjust focus (adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus), clear vision at 20 inches or less, and clear vision at 20 feet or more.

Salary:
Per CBA - Schedule A

Hours:

6.5 hours/day

Contracted Days: 182 work days & 7 holidays (189 total contracted days)
