Site Manager

Big Bend Community College (BBCC), a rural college serving vibrant, culturally rich communities in the Columbia Basin of Central Washington invites applications for a Site Manager in the BEdA Department.

Reporting to the BEdA Director, the primary responsibility of this position is to manage daily operations of off-campus instructional sites across the BBCC service district including Othello, Royal City, and Mattawa. This position ensures the smooth delivery of higher education services at each site by leading instructional site faculty and staff, coordinating closely with BBCC departments, and maintaining regular communication with key community partners.

This position requires an alternative work schedule that extends into the evenings and includes occasional weekend hours to meet student, departmental, and college needs. Classes, activities, partner meetings, and delivery of student services often occur outside of standard work hours.

This position is based in Othello.

Job Duties

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate assigned off-campus staff, associate faculty, student workers, and support personnel; participate in hiring, onboarding, performance management, faculty observations, and personnel recommendations.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for daily operations at assigned off-campus instructional sites, ensuring facilities, technology, classrooms, and resources support effective instruction and student services.
  • Coordinate services and communication between off-campus instructional sites and college departments to ensure students have access to advising, enrollment, financial aid, workforce funding, technology, counseling, and other student support services.
  • Guide prospective and current students through admissions, enrollment, educational planning, available funding resources, and other college processes to support persistence and completion.
  • Coordinate student access to technology, digital literacy support, referrals, barrier-removal resources, enrollment activities, and other services that contribute to student success.
  • Collaborate with the BEdA Director to recruit, support, and evaluate associate faculty and ensure compliance with federal, state, grant, contract, accreditation, and college requirements.
  • Monitor off-campus operations, student participation, enrollment data, and program outcomes; prepare reports, maintain records, support audits, and ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
  • Develop, implement, and improve operational procedures, work plans, and budget requests to strengthen service delivery, operational efficiency, and program performance.
  • Represent the college through outreach, presentations, community meetings, recruitment activities, and special events that promote college programs, educational pathways, workforce opportunities, and student services.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with school districts, community organizations, employers, government agencies, and internal college departments to support student success, program delivery, and community engagement.
  • Manage off-campus facility agreements, building use, equipment, and other logistical needs to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted site operations.

  • Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
