Responsible for performing medical billing functions to third party payers, researching denied or incomplete claims, and verifying medical, dental and eye care insurance codes.

Biller salary range: $21.19 p/h -$25.43 p/h DOE with ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates.
Responsible for managing denial claimsResponsible for performing general clerical duties to include assisting in answering telephone inquiries regarding patient billsResponsible for communicating payer issues utilizing appropriate channels to report pertinent informationResponsible to complete delegated activities, projects and committee functionsResponsible to assist in educating Patient Services Representatives to understand the billing processPromotes a positive work culture and upholds clinic policies and procedures, including the WE CARE standards of BehaviorMust uphold confidentiality at all times in regards to CBHA activities, reports, financials, patient health information and other proprietary information specific to CBHAOther duties as assignedProfessional and Technical Knowledge:
Possesses general work-related skills at a higher level than completion of high school, including written and verbal communications skills, computational and computer skills, and mathematical knowledge frequently acquired through completion of a "business school (non BA/BS)" or "associates degree" type programMinimum of one (1) year experience in medical billing department or other billing servicePossesses basic understanding of medical terminology and proceduresPossesses knowledge of healthcare insurance claims practices and rules for complianceTechnical
Skills:Ability to prepare basic correspondence and simple reports in Microsoft WordAbility to prepare basic Microsoft Excel tables and simple displays of informationAbility to prepare and interpret financial and statistical reportsAbility to create basic presentations in Microsoft Power Point Ability to utilize CPE & ICD-10 coding reference materialsCommunication
