Emergency Room Nursing Assistant Certified – Part-Time/Day-Shift (Every Monday)
Othello Community Hospital is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Day Shift,
Nursing Assistant Certified to join our dynamic healthcare team in our Emergency Room. The Nursing Assistant Certified functions within their scope of practice under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to assist in providing care and implementing delegated activities of the nursing plan. They demonstrate an understanding of basic nursing skills and skills unique to the assigned clinical unit (s).
- Location: Othello Community Hospital, Othello, WA
- Departments: Emergency Room
- Schedule: 12hrs/Week, (6am-6pm), Days, Every Monday
- Status: Part-Time; (non-benefit earning)
- Meeting the hygiene, nutritional, elimination, activity, comfort and safety needs of patients;
- Obtains and reports/records vital signs; intake and output,
- Obtains supplies/equipment as necessary from designated departments;
- Performs point of care testing.
- This Nursing Assistant Certified may be assigned to provide care and functional assistance to other patient care areas.
The Nursing Assistant Certified individualizes patient care using age related concepts based on the unit population assigned for neonates (0-1 month), toddlers (1-2 years), preschoolers (3-5 years), school age (6-12), adolescents (12-17), and adults (18-66+) by applying age related concepts…. including knowledge of growth and development, safety needs, collection of data, treatments and care typically required. Utilizes age related concepts when communicating with patients and families, maintaining a safe environment and using medical equipment and supplies.
QUALIFICATIONS:- Current Washington State CNA certification required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required (AHA or equivalent)
- Minimum 6 months of CNA experience
, Previous experience in ER, AC, or OB settings preferred but not required - High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Able to follow and carry out directions.

Physical Demands: Work is active; requires frequent lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs., occasionally lifting and carrying 20-35 lbs., occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs, and pushing and pulling heavy equipment.
- Requires long periods of standing and walking, with frequent reaching at or above shoulder height, twisting and stooping/bending, squatting, kneeling, crawling, or climbing to perform patient care duties.
