Job Description
* Assist bus driver in providing safe transportation for handicapped students.
* Instructs students and teachers in emergency bus evacuation procedures twice a year.
* Instructs students in proper bus conduct.
* Reports misconduct on bus through established district procedures.
* Assists Bus Driver with cleaning bus interior and exterior as needed.
* Completes daily paperwork as required.
* Other duties as assigned by the Transportation Director.
Minimum Qualifications
* Ability to lift 40 pounds.
* Possess a current First Aid Card
* Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
* Must be able to work patiently with special needs students.
* Ability to enter and exit bus using emergency exit.
* Ability to walk, stand, sit, stoop, bend, reach, kneel, crawl, and grasp as required to successfully perform all duties and requirements.
* Ability to adjust focus (adjust the eye to bring and object into sharp focus), clear vision at 20 inches or less, and clear vision at 20 feet or more.
* Such alternatives to above qualifications as deemed necessary and appropriate by the Transportation Supervisor
