What the role is about

We are seeking an experienced and energetic Inventory Lead to join our dynamic growing team! The Inventory Lead will play a vital role in overseeing the daily activities of Inventory Specialists, ensuring that all team members are staying on task and following the processes set by the Supply Chain Manager. As an hourly position, the Inventory Lead will act as the primary point of contact for the Inventory Specialists, facilitating task delegation, promoting best practices, and supporting the initiatives led by the Supply Chain Manager.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills and be committed to maintaining accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of inventory operations.

What you will do
  • Direct and guide the daily activities of Inventory Specialists to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks related to picking, packing, cycle counting, and inventory movements
  • Monitor workflow and assign specific tasks as necessary to meet daily operational goals and priorities
  • Communicate with Inventory Specialists to ensure clear understanding of assigned tasks and expectations, acting as the first point of support for task-related inquiries
  • Assist with maintaining accurate stock levels by monitoring cycle counts, verifying inventory adjustments, and supporting any recounts or discrepancy investigations
  • Ensure inventory is accurately tracked in the system and that physical counts match system records, providing updates to the Supply Chain Manager as needed
  • Champion the processes and best practices implemented by the Supply Chain Manager, ensuring team compliance with inventory management standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct routine checks to ensure proper labeling, handling, and storage of inventory, including adherence to first-in, first-out (FIFO) practices and secure handling of sensitive products
  • Train new Inventory Specialists on inventory processes, safety protocols, and system usage, reinforcing expectations for accuracy and efficiency
  • Provide on-the-floor support and guidance to Inventory Specialists, helping troubleshoot issues and maintaining a positive work environment
  • Model high standards of work ethic, attention to detail, and professionalism, promoting a team culture of accountability and teamwork
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry of inventory movements in the electronic system, including receiving, transfers, and order fulfillment
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry and reporting of key department performance metrics
  • Support the Supply Chain Manager with inventory tracking and helping maintain real-time inventory accuracy
  • Act as a liaison between the Supply Chain Manager and Inventory Specialists, relaying instructions, updates, and feedback to team members
  • Communicate inventory-related issues or potential improvements to the Supply Chain Manager and provide support in implementing process changes
  • Collaborate with other leads and departments to support seamless inventory flow and meet cross-functional needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in inventory management, logistics, or warehouse operations preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory, warehouse operations, or a similar role, with proven ability to lead a team
  • Familiarity with electronic inventory management systems and basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance practices related to inventory and warehouse operations, particularly for sensitive products
  • Experience with Bio Track, Leaf Logix, MJ Freeway, METRC, Leafly, Dutchie, etc. preferred
  • Must be 21 years or older

The pay for this role is $22-$24/hour. Competitive benefits offered.
