As a full‑service engineering, design, and construction services firm, Mi-Tech delivers comprehensive support for utility and infrastructure projects from planning and design through execution. In your role as a senior structural engineer at Mi-Tech, you’ll design a wide variety of temporary and permanent structures associated with the construction of utility, infrastructure, and heavy civil projects.

• Develop calculation submittals for temporary and permanent structures.
• Coordinate development of design and shop drawings.
• Support project pursuits and bids through preliminary evaluations and analyses.
• Mentor and support other engineers.
• Communicate and coordinate with design and field teams.
• Provide support to the Principal Engineer with other assigned duties.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 4 to 8 years of experience designing temporary works, heavy civil, or infrastructure projects.
• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in structures preferred.
• Active Professional Engineer license in any state.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Mathcad, AutoCAD, and Finite Element Analysis.
• Basic knowledge of geotechnical engineering and related structures (foundations, retaining walls, and earth retention systems) is a plus.
• Previous construction field experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a quickly changing environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication required.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record as determined by Michels Review Team.
