What the role is about

The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all inventory control activities across Supply Chain operations. This role ensures accurate tracking of materials and finished goods, regulatory compliance, and alignment between physical inventory and state-mandated tracking systems (METRC). The Inventory supervisor leads inventory staff, drives process discipline, and partners with operations and compliance teams to maintain audit‑ready inventory records.

What you will do
  • Oversee cannabis product tracking from seed‑to‑sale
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to interpret detailed reporting to determine demand
  • Generate daily allocation reporting output that provides SKU‑level distribution recommendations, store‑level allocation quantities and exception reporting (low stock, overstock, aging inventory)
  • Utilize allocation models incorporating store level sales velocity, on‑hand inventory levels days of supply targets, and min/max stock thresholds
  • Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions (pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, conditional formatting) to analyze and present allocation decisions
  • Partner with Planning, Retail, and Operations teams to validate allocation logic and adjust based on real‑time business needs
  • Supervise daily inventory operations including receiving, transfers, adjustments, and reconciliations
  • Ensure full compliance with state cannabis tracking systems (METRC)
  • Manage the execution of cycle counts and full physical inventories
  • Investigate discrepancies and lead root cause corrective actions
  • Verify proper product tagging, labeling, and lot/batch traceability
  • Maintain accurate ERP/WMS and compliance system records
  • Prepare documentation and reports for internal and regulatory audits
  • Monitor inventory KPIs including fill accuracy, fill rate, and aging stock
  • Partner with compliance teams to ensure SOP adherence
  • Drive continuous improvement in inventory accuracy and control processes
  • Enforce security and chain‑of‑custody requirements
What you've accomplished
  • High school diploma or GED required, additional education or training in inventory management, logistics, or warehouse operations preferred
  • 3–5+ years in warehouse, inventory, or retail distribution
  • 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience
  • Experience in regulated environments (cannabis, pharma, food, or alcohol preferred)
  • Working knowledge of cannabis tracking systems (METRC)
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and inventory reporting skills
  • Experience with ERP or WMS platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Experience with lot/batch traceability systems
  • Lean or continuous improvement experience

Compensation

The pay for this role is 60-65k annually.
