Arnprior Regional Health is a 140-bed multi-site healthcare organization, located less than 30 minutes west of Ottawa, and providing care across the continuum of Hospital acute care, Long-Term care and Community-based services. We currently have an opportunity for a Temporary Full-Time (8 months with possible extension) Staffing Coordinator
. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this position is responsible for scheduling staff for the Hospital (44 beds), Long-Term Care Home (96 beds), and Community Programs.

This is an on-site position and includes days, evenings, and weekends, with a mix of 7.5-hour and 11.5-hour shifts. You will need to be able to travel between the hospital and the long-term care home as needed.

In carrying out the above duties, the incumbent will be fully knowledgeable and committed to understanding and abiding by ARH’s mission, vision, and values while complying with applicable policies/procedures, including, but not limited to, the code of conduct, health and safety, confidentiality/privacy, risk management, and quality improvement.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and distribute staffing schedules and vacation planners in accordance with the collective agreement language and posting timelines.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining master schedules in collaboration with department managers.
  • Communicates staffing and scheduling issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain staffing schedules daily, paying close attention to staffing quotas for accuracy
  • Document all changes at the time of occurrence in the electronic scheduling system.
  • Schedule replacement staff according to established collective agreement language, and processes.
  • Input/update staff hours in the HRIS as required (sick, vacation, leaves of absence, overtime) accurately and timely.
  • Performs related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Graduate with a College Diploma in a related field (i.e. Office Administration, Payroll, Human Resources etc.)
  • Minimum of two (2) years of staffing experience, preferably in a unionized Hospital or Long-Term Care setting
  • Demonstrated ability to reference and apply applicable articles within a collective agreement as it pertains to the staffing & scheduling functions
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office and other computer systems, including Outlook, word, & excel, to produce schedules, letters & statistical reporting
  • Experience in computerized scheduling and accurate payroll entry
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Sound communication skills with great attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and respond to work situations with a professional solution-based and results-focused attitude
  • Ability to handle situations with tact and diplomacy
  • Reliable transportation

Salary range: $59,299.50 – $66,339.00 (April 1, 2025 Rates)
