Position: Client services representative _ Eurofins Environment Testing

Job Description

Under the supervision of the Client Services Team Leader this position is responsible for entering client and sample information into LIMS, preparing supplies and bottles requests for clients, and ensuring that projects are processed quickly and delivered on time to operations.

Receiving samples from clients at the counter directly or by courier delivery

Sorting samples and coolers and making note of any deficiencies

Using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to log-in the samples and generate labels

Preparing soils samples and rush projects to be processed by operations

Forwarding feedback from clients and to the appropriate Project Manager.

Discussing the project with the client to ensure clarity of the requirements, if necessary.

Placing samples in the appropriate areas of the laboratory.

Preparing bottles for client pick-up or shipping.

Preparing samples for subcontracting as required.

Various administrative duties (filing, faxing, mailing) as required.

Other related duties as assigned.

Note this is a Scientific admin role and no analytical testing is carried out

Qualifications

Good understanding of IT and PC applications and software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint,etc.)

Good communication skills, work effectively and efficiently

Knowledge of environmental samples considered an asset

Self-starter, ambitious and energetic

Laboratory experience considered an asset

Strong organizational skills

Excellent telephone and people skills

Lifting heavy coolers is a requirement up to 50 Lbs.

Education

High School Diploma.

University Degree or a College Diploma in a related field is an asset.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience in a client services environment, preferably in a laboratory environment.
