Join Carleton University as a User Services Assistant in the Access Services department. This role focuses on providing essential library services to the community in both physical and virtual environments.
As part of the Access Services team, the User Services Assistant will be vital in supporting library operations. You’ll engage with patrons, fulfill resource requests, and operate the Scan on Demand service while maintaining the library’s physical resources. This position demands excellent public service skills and a strong commitment to library regulations and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide library services to Carleton community and partners
• Operate resource requests and fulfillment processes
• Maintain library collection and facilities effectively
• Serve as backup for user services team members
• Perform additional related duties as required
Requirements:
• Diploma in Library and Information Technician or equivalent
• Three years library experience with cataloguing
• Strong public service communication skills
• Proficient with office productivity software
• Good knowledge of library services platform
