and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Academic Support Officer, the ECOR Administrator is responsible for the administrative oversight of the ECOR zero‑credit course program. Additionally, the ECOR Administrator contributes to first‑year engineering registration and student support initiatives, by providing clear, accurate, and concise information on a full range of academic issues to first‑year undergraduate students, staff and faculty, of the Faculty of Engineering and Design.
Qualifications- Knowledgeable about administrative and academic procedures.
- Possesses excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Strong team player capable of relating professionally to all members of the University community (staff, faculty, and students).
- Exercises tact, discretion, and respect when dealing with various stakeholders.
- Skilled in problem‑solving and knows when to refer students for additional assistance.
- Knowledgeable about University Services.
- Works accurately with attention to detail, emphasizing reliability and precision.
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills, ability to work under pressure, and self‑motivation with minimal supervision.
- Understands and operates effectively in a culturally diverse workplace.
- Adaptable to changing environments and demonstrates sensitivity to various cultural, ethnic, and linguistic profiles.
- Maintains current knowledge and skills in conventional office applications, particularly Banner, and learning management systems such as Brightspace and cu Portfolio, as well as communication and database systems.
- A University degree.
- Three‑years of related experience, preferably with knowledge in learning support.
