Position: Office Administrator/ Coordinator

Employment Type: Permanent

Compensation: Salaries typically range from $46,389 to $61,852 annually, based on qualifications and experiences, plus a performance‑based incentive.

Location: Export Development Canada operates in a hybrid work environment, with a current requirement of two in‑office days per week, increasing to three days per week in September 2026 (subject to change). This role can be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa. Relocation assistance is available for candidates who meet eligibility criteria.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to Vice‑Presidents, including managing calendars, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, correspondence, workflows, and information flow.
  • Prepare, edit, and format correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents.
  • Coordinate leadership meetings (e.g., agendas, materials, minutes, town halls).
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, responding to inquiries and facilitating communication.
  • Administer budgets, expenses, and tracking with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage and maintain team tools and resources, including SharePoint sites and related requests.
  • Gather, organize, and summarize data to support reporting and decision‑making.
  • Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes, workflows, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum of 2‑3 years of experience in an administrative or clerical role.
  • Experience supporting senior leaders in a professional environment.
  • Proven experience in an administrative or assistant role.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Strong attention to detail with problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Desired Attributes
  • Bilingual in both official languages (French and English).
  • Administrative/Executive Assistant training would be an asset.
