Compensation: $60,000 per annum
SummaryThe Office Administrator manages the day-to-day administrative and time management activities for Operations. This includes calendar management, general office administration, document preparation, communications support, and other professional support.
Responsibilities- Adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and familiarity with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Answer incoming calls and emails, address inquiries, and provide timely support to customers and internal teams.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Data entry and processing of daily paperwork.
- Act as main switchboard operator for incoming calls, sorting incoming mail, and courier packages.
- Work with supervisors daily to address complaints.
- Assist the Management team in resolving customer inquiries as required.
- Dispatch residential calls/complaints to Route Supervisor and Drivers.
- Filing and general maintenance of all office records, updating daily records and performing other general administrative duties as required.
- Assist day-to-day and month‑end operations in Ottawa East Yard.
- Monitor and track driver productivity.
- At least 6 months experience in office administration.
- Bilingual in French and English with strong communication skills in both languages.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient with PC-based systems such as Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Available to work on Saturdays following long weekends, as required, on a rotational basis to maintain a five‑day work schedule.
