Type: 4-month contract, with potential for extension
Location:
Hybrid in Ottawa (proof of COVID-19 vaccination required)
We are seeking a
Finance Business Analyst for our client in Ottawa to support the planning of a
digital transformation initiative.
This role will be instrumental in gathering business requirements, analyzing current processes, and helping develop a business case and roadmap for future ERP implementation.
The ideal candidate brings experience in finance-related functions, has strong analytical and
communication skills, and thrives in fast-paced, change-driven environments.
ResponsibilitiesAnalyze business processes to understand operational needs, identify gaps, and recommend improvementsCollaborate with various teams (Finance, HR, Supply Chain, etc.) to support transformation planning activitiesFacilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to gather business requirements and contribute to system planning and solution designAssist with the testing and validation of ERP configurations and integrations, ensuring accuracy, usability, and regulatory complianceSupport change management initiatives through training, user guides, and clear process documentationMaintain up-to-date documentation of key processes and systems to support governance, compliance, and audit requirementsQualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in a finance function or business systems role within a complex organizationExperience supporting ERP initiatives, digital transformation projects, or business systems planning within finance functionsStrong understanding of accounting standards, internal control frameworks, and financial operationsExcellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across departmentsProficient in analyzing data, writing clear documentation, and facilitating process improvementsComfortable navigating ambiguity with minimal supervision and balancing competing priorities under tight deadlinesEducationUndergraduate Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration, or related fieldWorking towards or completion of a CPA designation or MBA is considered an assetProof of COVID-19 vaccination is required as this is a hybrid position.
