Primary FocusThe Pharmaceutical Reviews Officer works within multidisciplinary research teams to prepare reports that address specific research and/or policy questions regarding pharmaceutical products. This role creates high‑quality products to facilitate decision‑making about drug policies.
Daily Responsibilities- Work within multidisciplinary review teams to prepare reports on pharmaceutical‑related research and/or policy questions.
- Conduct comprehensive literature reviews, critical appraisals, evidence syntheses, indirect comparisons, meta‑analyses, and systematic reviews.
- Support other reviewers in the production of reports or other products as required.
- Act as an expert resource for critical appraisal of clinical studies, scientific report authorship, and related topics.
- Provide project status updates to the Senior Pharmaceutical Review Officer and/or Pharmaceutical Review Manager to ensure appropriate project conduct, achievement of priorities, and compliance with policies.
- Support current program priorities and initiatives aligned with corporate objectives to enhance transparency and evidence‑based decision‑making.
- Graduate degree in a health‑related discipline (biostatistics, epidemiology, pharmacy, health economics, medicine) plus research experience, with the ability to conduct critical appraisals, systematic reviews, meta‑analyses, and/or health technology assessments.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in research methods, systematic reviews, pharmaceutical appraisals, HTA development and application, evidence‑based medicine, and study design.
- Understanding of the Canadian health‑care system, relevant legislation, regulation, and decision‑making processes related to reviews.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and strength in scientific or technical report writing.
- Ability to speak effectively before expert groups and diverse audiences.
- Experience collaborating, prioritizing, and balancing multiple tasks in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

- Fluency in French.
