Join BDC as a Senior Business Advisor specializing in Defence procurement. Your expertise will help Canadian SMEs thrive within the Defence supply chain ecosystem.
This role focuses on providing strategic advice to entrepreneurs accessing Tier 2 and 3 Defence contracts. You will assess specific needs, create informative resources, and facilitate workshops aimed at enhancing Defence procurement understanding. By collaborating with internal teams, you will contribute to BDC’s outreach initiatives and strengthen its market positioning in Defence literacy through comprehensive advisory support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess market opportunities for Defence sector involvement
• Deliver expert procurement guidance and compliance support
• Create and present content through webinars and workshops
• Facilitate cohort sessions empowering SME participation
• Maintain relationships within the Defence ecosystem
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field
• A minimum of 7-10 years in Defence procurement environments
• Understanding of contracting complexities
• Strong communication and client service orientation
• Ethical standards in risk and governance management
