Shape the future of healthcare with the University of Ottawa as a Specialist for Francophone Medical Clerkships. Enhance training for students seeking clerkship experiences in French-speaking environments.
This full-time position involves direct engagement with medical students from non-Quebec and Ontario jurisdictions, supporting their clerkship placements across Canada. You will collaborate with faculty members to develop and optimize clerkship processes, while also maintaining key relationships with various stakeholders in the medical education landscape. Play a vital role in promoting the value of French-language healthcare, thereby enriching the clinical training experience for francophone learners.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee clerkship program implementation and optimization
• Create and manage a database of medical preceptors
• Assist students with clerkship and language requirement navigation
• Coordinate agreements with universities for clerkship placements
• Conduct initiatives to enhance awareness of French health services
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• At least three years of relevant experience
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French
• Strong organizational and communication abilities
• Familiarity with project management tools
Contribute to enriching French-language medical training while enhancing accessibility for all learners at the University of Ottawa.
