Coordinator – Public Awareness & Education

Advance community safety with the Ottawa Safety Council as a Senior Coordinator focused on Education & Awareness. This hybrid role combines project coordination with innovative communication strategies.

The Ottawa Safety Council is looking for an enthusiastic Senior Coordinator. In this role, you will lead the Walk Safe pedestrian safety program, manage logistics, and spearhead promotions with community partners. Creativity and strong communication skills are essential as you develop content for various platforms and support safety campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the Walk Safe education program across Ottawa

• Assist in Cross Safe training coordination

• Develop and schedule engaging digital content

• Plan and promote public safety awareness campaigns

• Cultivate relationships with municipalities and stakeholders

Requirements:

• Degree in Communications, Education, or a related area

• 3-5 years experience in program or project coordination

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Familiarity with social media and digital content tools

• Strong relationship-building and organizational skills
